I started to use a gessoed board and like this kind very much. Instead of simple thin board, this has the back supports. Because I really like what I experienced, I purchased totally 9 more panels which sizes are up to 12″ x 16″. I sanded and gessoed 5 layers, the panels became very smooth and easy to add the details. It was a quite job to prepare all 9 of them but it was worth spending the whole day working for my painting supports. Oh! I also can paint side of the panels because I gessoed them too. The patterns of this pink strips continue to the four sides of the panel and requires no frame. How cool is that!
